I am deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Strayer's passing. I was a student at San Marcos in the early 70's enduring scarring abuse at home. I credit her amazing ability to identify the signs of abuse and prompt intervention that gave me the tools to survive. Not only survive- but to go on and be a mother, a wife and a molecular biologist.
