Patch Godown

My heart is heavy hearing that Patch passed away. Prayers to his family, especially Val and her kids. He will always be watching over you.

So sorry for your loss may you receive strength and comfort from God, he will make you firm, he will make you strong, he will firmly ground you. 1 Peter 5:6,7

I remember the first time meeting Patch, we were kids and I had so much fun playing hide and seek in his grandmothers (my aunts) back yard. Never forgot him, never would and never will. I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. Love ya patch, say hi to my dad and sister up there!

It's hard to be touched by a life you barely knew. And yet, reading his story, and admiring his passions, and family connections, I am touched and inspired. What a great life, and a great man. Here's to Patch who had life in his years, not just years in his life. My condolences to his father and mother, and his siblings, and relatives.

I was at Joe's in Craig when Patch came over to talk to my wife and I about our dog Denali. We hit it off immediately with Patch and exchanged numbers. We stayed in contact and periodically ran into each other over the following years. He offered to be a local emergency contact for my daughter attending college in Missoula. Last March Patch and Val had me a friend stay with them at their home during our spring fishing trip. Patch and Valerie are 2 of the kindest and giving people I've ever...
