Having met Kent in the Logan chiropractic office in the late 70´s I knew my life would be much richer. He was so caring and welcoming to this at the time, young Midwest girl. He was my friend, mentor, and confidant. I am fortunate to own two of Kent´s Sioux carvings. He has and will always be in my heart.

I remember Kent from the 1970's. We would bump into each other at gun shows in Utah and Idaho. I was inspired by a carving he was displaying of 7 quail running in a line. The piece he had on display was already sold to a Client in SLC. I said that was OK as it was a little too long for my entrance wall where it would be the first thing every saw entering my home. He asked me what length I needed and he would carve it for me. About 3 months he walked into my office in Brigham City and...

Patch was a great mentor, I remember he made some pine boxes and always said he would have one of his own someday. He helped me learn and enjoy working with wood.

So sorry to learn of Patch (Kent)s passing. He was not only my friend
But my closest cousin. Many, many happy memories.. I sit and look and admire every single day a couple of his wood carvings. A great talent.
