Patric became my mentor when I joined him lobbying with urban school systems, in 1996. As the lobbyist for Wake County Schools Patric and I worked closely. He was well respected by members of the NC legislature and other lobbyists. We spent many years before his retirement walking the halls of the legislature and holding court at a designated table with other lobbying friends.
