This is sad news. My sympathies go out to Bill, Mary Saige, Shaylyn, and the rest Patrice's family. Hang in there guys.

It's been a while since I've seen Patrice, but I've known her since the '80s. She and my late wife were best of friends. I considered her a good friend too. She was always kind and understanding. She could be serious and concerned when necessary, but then quick to laugh and smile to put you at ease. I always enjoyed her company.

I'm so sorry to hear about Patrice. I treated her in St. Joseph's and I have never been so inspired by a patient until I met her. She is the most positive person I think I've ever met, always smiling no matter what, and was clearly a loved and wonderful mother and wife. My sympathies for your loss.

Shay, I am so sorry i got caught up in the end of finals and missed your beautiful mother's passing. I am so glad I got the chance to see her smile even when she looked so weak. You and your family will always be in my prayers and I love you
