Patricia (Patsy) Youmans Sallette passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at home with her loving husband by her side. Patsy was born in Garden City, attended Chatham County Schools and graduated from Commercial High School in 1957. In August of 1957 she married her high school sweetheart, Mitchell (Mickey) Sallette. She worked several jobs and retired from AETNA.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Levy and Fannie Mae Youmans; her sister Mary Dotson; and one grandson.


She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mickey Sallette; three sons, Michael (Patricia Bragg) Sallette, Robert (Margie) Sallette, and Evan Sallette; four grandchildren, Terry and Tyler Sallette, Paul (Bubba) Bragg, and Chadia Abou-Thiab; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Hicks and Francis Seckinger; and one brother, L.G. Youmans, Jr. (Buck).


Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West in Savannah. In lieu of flowers remembrances can be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.

We meet Mickey and Pat years ago, we were neighbors for awhile, we would go walking, we could never keep up with Mickey he took long strides. We had some good times, you could not ask for better people, Pat you will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Patsy's passing. We were back door neighbors growing up in Port Wentworth. She was always such a sweetheart. Our prayers for peace and comfort for you all as you grieve the loss of this precious soul. God be with you.
