Not sure what to say?

What a tragic loss. Pat was so vibrant and smart, caring and loving. I was saddened to read of her passing, hopefully her and Sophie are taking long walks again. My sincere condolences to Beth.

A truly good person, just stolen. Thank you, Pat, for your humor, your sketches, your friendship, your heart lined with canine fur. I want to think you are with your beloved Sophie... and some of mine of whom you were fond. Those lucky dogs. Romp, all of you together.

Pat was one of our closest friends and we are heartbroken by her passing. Vikki and I are also inspired by her dedication to living fully with kindness and joy. Our hearts are with Beth at this very sad time.

Pat was a one of us, a person with deep curiosity and love about the world around her. She will be greatly missed by urban sketchers around the world.

Beth and Pat, Such beautiful friends and such fond memories. Our deepest sympathies Beth, we are here for you. Rest in peace Pat. We will always remember our joyous times together.

We (Ed, David and Beth) first met you with a group of hiking women on Bald Mountain/Mt. Hood. We loved your wit and outdoor spirit of nature and it was only natural that you would meet the love of your life, Beth, at this very beautiful place. I will never forget you, my dear friend, you will be in my heart forever.

Pat and Beth have been good friends with us from the day they met while we were hiking on a Mt Hood trail. We thoroughly enjoyed our get togethers at their home in Portland and then in Astoria, such wonderful times together. We are devastated by this tragedy, and our love and condolences go out to Beth. We will miss Pat beyond words. May she rest in peace. Ed & David

we used to share progressive dinners with pat and beth many yrs ago when they lived in ne portland....she was very bright and engaging, and we'd have great conversations about the oregonian whom she worked for as editor/commentary back in the day......we would go out for coffee/tea on my day off and have a good time....a few yrs ago i saw her near my duplex walking and said hi as we'd lost touch over the yrs.....we are so sorry beth about pat and this tragedy.....you guys were fun to be...

Pat, thank you for your example of how to live a full life, and thank you for your unfailing good cheer. I will miss seeing you striding through the neighborhoods and bumping into you at Sunday market.
