Patricia "Pat" Ballard

She was a lovely lady - always kind to me, my daughter, my mother, my uncle, and especially my late grandmother, Sara C. Walker, her friend and neighbor of many years.

This is one great lady that I and many others will miss. It was a joy to have worked with her as president of the Lancaster Woman's Club and renovator of the Ole Garrard County Jail. Pat gave energy to every one to complete every endeavor she undertook and left her mark on many things for Garrard County. Pat was a friend, fellow historian, geneologist, and a distant cousin through the Criscillis/White family of Whitley County. I enjoyed her help so many times at the library in research during the 1970s as I was helping with a book about Lottie Moon,Southern Baptist missionary to China.
