Not sure what to say?

So very sorry for your loss. Patty was a great lady, so very smart and energetic. She was so well read and always keen for a good discussion. I knew her in Hong Kong and Collingwood. She was so kind and welcoming to me when we moved to Collingwood. Cherish many wonderful memories. Barb. McKenzie. Xxx

I first met Patty when we were "Probies" at St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Montreal.
After graduation she returned to Winnipeg but we kept in contact over the years.
As time went by we both ended up in Ontario thus enabling us to occasionally visit each other's home as well.
I treasure my last visit with her at Kensington Gardens, Toronto 3 years ago & subsequent 'phone chats
afterwards.
My heart is heavy having learned of her passing.
I extend my deepest...

Patty was a remarkable woman whose smile could light up a room. I knew her through our Ladies Book Club and admired her for her love of reading, her enthusiasm and her warmth. She was always happy to share stories about her incredibly large and loving family, as well as her own travel adventures. Patty was a joy to know and I will always remember her fondly.

My late mother, Janet Humphreys was a dear friend of Pat's when she lived in Burlington and their friendship continued after she moved away. Reading about Pat's remarkable life, brought tears to my eyes because I could see clearly why they were friends. Even though I was young when we lived on the same street, I remember Pat very fondly and your whole family. Sending love and sympathy,

I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Pat Barrington, on her recent passing. I came to know her back in the summer of 1971, when I was a volunteer worker at the old Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital in New Toronto. Pat was always friendly and pleasant with me. She worked quite well with the male patients in that ward and often gave them helpful advice.
