It was an honour to know Pat through membership of Viscount Bennett chapter, DBE and volunteering at Albertina Kerr. I have vivid memories of making sandwiches with her for the DBE Annual Bazaar and Tea - everything had to be `just so´. Pat and Sadie were sticklers for thin sliced bread! When it was Pat´s turn to host a chapter meeting it was such a treat to visit her lovely home and garden and to enjoy a proper English tea!

As a young man and desperately in need of work, I met your Mom, through Sumiko and my friend John Hasegawa. For around the next ten years I was her handyman/housepainter. I want you all to know, I consider her one of the most awesome and influential people I have known in my lifetime. She always had an idea of how to solve a problem and to offer advice. I have fond memories of working on her home in Dunthorpe, and my life has been enriched having known her. My thoughts are with you all.
