Not sure what to say?

Tricia, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I will always be grateful to your mom for inviting my mom and me to the Catholic Charismatic group. She inspired me, through that group, to deepen my relationship with Jesus. Wow, it´s amazing how a simple invitation has made such an impact in my life. Thank you, Mrs. Byrnes!

I grew up with Mrs Byrne as my neighbor. We had a very close knit block and Mrs Byrne was involved with the children on Beach Road. I was one of them. She had a wonderful imagination which helped keep us busy when we were "bored". I remember being in the backyard while she would be working on her plants. She was a kind , loving woman that was way ahead of her time. My prayers are with the family.

"My siblings and I are deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out to us with cards, calls, and visits during this time. Mom´s age of 93 belied the vital, vibrant life she was living right up until the very end. We were neither expecting nor prepared for this loss. The support from our friends and family has been a great comfort to us. Thank you so much."

I got to know Patricia Byrne through the most telling of conduits: her children. Frank was a classmate at Monsignor Farrell and Cheryl kindly accompanied me to my Junior Prom. Now, as an older adult, reading Patricia´s obituary, the arc of her life is jaw dropping. Given her start, her energy and positive impact on so many people underscores her achievements. Reading her story, the word that keeps coming to mind is this: Grit. I can see clearly now where her children got their intelligence...

My condolences to her family. I remember her from when my own mother took over the role as V.P. for the Island´s PTA. Nice lady , rest in peace.
