Dear Jill and Stephanie: your mom was a wonderful teacher. I had her for both 5th and 6th grade at Ellerhorst (1966-67). She made learning interesting and fun. I did some babysitting for her / for you when I was in Junior High / Senior high. I met your grandmother; she was lovely. I am grateful for having known Patsy Christner. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Almost five decades have passed since 1961 and 1962 when I was in the sixth grade at the Ellerhorst School in Pinole and Patsy Christner was my teacher. When I recall the teachers I have had at every level, she stands out as one of the very best alongside a handful of inspirational high school and college teachers.
