God bless you and rest in peace

I am so sorry this is late, as I just heard about Mrs Cook's passing. I was a nursing student in the first class at Baptist Schools of Nursing that graduated in 1978. What a great lady and instructor! I ran into her a few years back when she was healthy and she was still the same, warm and friendly person, glad to reminisce. Condolences to her entire family.

It was my honor to work with Pat during the early years of the Baptist System School of Nursing RN program. She was a great colleague, a person who connected easily with students and staff. She touched many lives and helped many to succeed. Pat was a kind and giving person and was a wonderful mentor and friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and her friends.

For as long as I can remember, Mrs. Cook had always been right there across the street from us when I was growing up. I will always hold the memories of our parents - yours and mine who gathered on Friday nights for a game of canasta and coffee, the vacations we took together and the many weekends we all spent at Lake Queers Ferry in our boats.

In later years, as life goes changes, leaving only Patricia and my mother, Rosalie to keep tabs on each other. Patricia kept an eye out...
