I was especially saddened to hear of Mrs. Crains passing for it brings an end to my ties with South Norfolk. I believe everyone there knew her for one reason or the other, her kids, grandkids, bingo, through Mr. Crains affiliation with sports. I practically grew up in her house being she lived right on the corner from me. I remember how she used to laugh and play with all of us and how we had to shut up when her soaps were on, with a tv in every room so as not to miss any one show, long...

Some of the best memories of my childhood are at the Crain house with Mrs. Crain. She was so giving and funny. I loved her like a Mom and she treated me like one of her children. I am so sorry she is gone, but she left a mark on everyone who ever knew her and loved her. My deepest sympathy to my...

Mrs. Crain on our last night of Bingo at Portlock!

My sincerest condolences for the loss of such a vibrant spunky woman! Mrs. Crain you will be missed dearly! A big thanks as well for all the support you gave to South Norfolk Boys Baseball over the many years! May you play all the free Bingo you want to in heaven and may you forever rest in eternal peace!

Mrs. Crain, or Momma as I called her, was one of a kind. She loved and took care of so many. She always had a spot for me at Thanksgiving, Christmas and any time I wanted to be there. I loved her very much. Even though I have moved away, I still looked at that house on Rogers St. every time I passed and could recall a different memory every time. She loved her grandchildren so much. My daughter Angel even calls her Granny. She was a wonderful, fun loving, and caring person, and I will miss...
