With many fond memories of your mother as the "Grand Dame" of the household, I am reflective of the influences adults have on us while growing up. Pat was always warm, welcoming and gentle (but firm) in our interactions. She also saved me one Friday night when we were out yelling "shot to rods" up by the turn around on the gut at the Texaco station.
