PATRICIA DENTON

Patricia Scroggins Denton was born in Corsicana, Tx. on August 29, 1932. She passed away in Fresno, Ca. on Sunday, January 27, 2013. Pat moved to Fresno in 1946 to start her sophomore year of high school. She graduated from Fresno High School in 1949, and attended Fresno City College. She married Rich Denton a few years later and they had three children, Debby, Jenny, and Dick. Pat was active as a Blue Bird Leader, PTA secretary, Bible Study Fellowship Leader, customer service representative and cashier for Breuner's Furniture Co. She is survived by Rich, her husband of over 62 years. She is also survived by her daughters, Deborah Denton Folmer, Jennifer Denton Lehr and her husband Bill; her son, Richard Patrick and his wife Pamela; her grandchildren, Zachariah, Daniel, Bradley, Elizabeth, David and Peter. She also leaves four great-grandchildren. A private Family Graveside Service was held at the Clovis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Remembrances may be made to Northwest Church; or the Alzheimer's Association; or take your family to a ball game and start a tradition.
