Condolences to the Dion family. Mrs. Dion was my first grade teacher at the Westlands School so many years ago. She was a wonderful teacher, caring and kind. I will always feel a debt of gratitude to her because it was in her classroom that I learned to read. May her memory be a blessing to all her loved ones.

My first grade school teacher. I would skip school in the first grade to watch Betty Boop! My mom had already left for work and told me what time to leave for bus stop. Mrs. Dion would call me aside and say "Sharon, I like you. Don't you like me? Is this why you don't come to school?" and I would say " I like you but I like Betty Boop more." Sorry for the passing of Mrs. Dion. I have always remembered her as I did like her very much. May God give her family the strength to go through...
