Patricia Lee Engle

I just learned of Patrice's death. She was a mentor of mine when I was an undergraduate psychology student at Cal Poly. I took her research methods class and worked with her on a couple of research projects. She inspired my love of research and helped me through the process of applying to graduate school. Patty was not only extremely bright in mind but also in spirit. I had the great pleasure of being with her and Kirk in Guatemala and the boat building commune. She blended in with all types and with that, we surely put her through the test, and could spin a yarn with the best of them. She will leave a large void in everyone's life. Grady Meadows
