Patricia Joy Fridley STUARTS DRAFT

Patricia Joy Fridley, 73, of Forest Spring Drive, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2008, at Augusta Medical Center, in Fishersville.

Born March 27, 1935, in Staunton, she was a daughter of the late Herman D. and Virginia B. (Diehl) Miller.

She was a homemaker and a member of White Hill Church of the Brethren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoover A. Fridley; and a son-in-law, John R. Payne.

Survivors include four daughters, Sheila Paauwe and her husband, Allan, of Stuarts Draft, Michelle Payne of Stuarts Draft, Valarie Smith and her husband, Tracy, of Stuarts Draft, Gina Ware and her husband, Nathan, of Staunton; a brother, Howard "Bucky" Miller of Staunton; a sister, Barbara Georg and her husband, Marvin, of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Heather, Caleb Payne, and his wife, Stefanie, Seth Payne, Dakota and Regal Thomas, Falon Smith, Spencer and Cooper Ware; great-grand-children, Benjamin Toro, Natalie Payne and Zoe Payne.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2008, at Ridgeview Baptist Church by the Reverend James Chappell and the Reverend David Chappell. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Staunton.

Active pallbearers will be Curtis Craig, Duane Burtner, Layne Thomas, Alvin Yoder, Clyde Harris, Darrin Ruff, Bo Veney and Jed Shaner.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008, at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

The family would like to thank the wonderful HOPE Center nursing staff, the first and second floor nursing staff of Augusta Medical Center, and give a special thank-you to friend and nurse, Suzanne Clark.
