Patricia Lizarraga Garcia, born on May 27, 1957, in Los Angeles, California passed away on September 6, 2023, in Yuma, Arizona.
Patricia Lizarraga Garcia, known affectionately as Pat, grew up in Sierra Vista, Arizona with her parents, Maria Gloria Lizarraga and Roman Peralta Lizarraga and three sisters, Maria (Cha Cha), Lillian, and (Gloria) Yolanda.
Pat attended school at Buena High School and later went on to attend the Universities of Arizona and Utah for her degrees in medicine. At the U of A, Pat went on to meet the love of her life, Roberto P. Garcia, and they married in 1982. They spent a short time in Wichita, Kansas; where Roberto finished his residency, and they welcomed their first child Erik Garcia a year later. The couple moved back to Yuma, Arizona; where they opened their practice, and welcomed two more sons, Victor and Marcus Garcia.
A viewing and Celebration of Life reception will be held at Funeraria del Angel Kammann on October 6, 2023, at 4:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park on October 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send a donation to the ARC of Arizona (arcarizona.org).

I am just so sorry to hear of her passing. I had the great pleasure of having worked with Dr. Garcia and Pat many years ago. Thank you always for your being my first in learning so much in the medical field and allowing me to carry that knowledge forward in my life. Forever grateful. Beautiful, smart, AMAZING MAMA, always willing to teach. Truly a pleasure having had your presence in my life early on. I can only imagine how much you are missed

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
We always looked forward to seeing Pat in the office and accompanying Dr Garcia in our examination room recording notes and filling out prescriptions.
She always made sure there was availability for either my husband or myself.
We will miss her lovely smile and caring demeanor for over 25 years.
She cared for everyone.

What a beautiful lady--inside and out. I worked with Pat for many years and enjoyed every one. I saw how much she cared for the people of Yuma both professionally and in her work with the ARC of Yuma. She shared so much of herself with others.
