Not sure what to say?

Although we live far away, our hearts are never far away from Alabama. We were shocked to hear of Pat's sudden death and will always remember her wicked sense of humor! Doesn't seem that long ago that our children attended EPIC School together. Our sympathies to her family, especially son Ben (Michael).

I met Pat a few years ago and instantly felt as though we had been friends our entire lives. I had the privilege of meeting her in person only twice but we spent many hours on the phone sharing thoughts, feelings and secrets. Her sense of humor and contagious laugh always made you feel better. When you picked up the phone and heard “How y’all doing up in Minnesota” you knew you were going to feel better after the conversation. She was the only person I knew who never lost faith in the...

I just wanted to say that, although, I only knew Pat Howell through her son Mike I was very fond of her. She was one of the nicest people I ever met, and she was a Green Bay fan which was great. She raised a great son who is and will always be one of my greatest friends in this world. Judging by the character of Mike, I can see the influence she had on him. Patricia Howell will be missed greatly, but she leaves behind a truly great reminder of herself in her son.

Patricia and Queen ELizacat 2005

Mom Pat I am so glad that got to spend these last 5 years with you. You treated me like I was your daughter and never a daughter in law. I remeber us going shopping and just spending time together. I remember family dinners with you Mike and I at Bennigans every Tuesday night in North Carolina. I remember you and that little scotter at the 4th of July celebrations in Sewanee. You had that silly hat on and you were just crusing all through Sewanee. I will always cherish the memories we shared...

Patsy we shared many happy times at the Electric Maid Bakery every morning before school. Ramsay was a better place with you there. Jeanette (Anselmo)Stallings

To Michael, Tammy, Bobby, Susan and all the family...you are in our prayers. Patsy was my dear first cousin and she was always special to me. When I saw her dance recital when she was about 12, I thought that she was the most beautiful auburn haired snowflake that I had ever seen. Even though Patsy and I have been separated by the miles, she has and will continue to have a treasured place in my heart. She loved her wonderful son, daughter-in-law, brother, and her sister-in-law plus the...

Patsy Howell on Train Trondheim-Røros, Norway: February 2000

Birmingham, Memphis, Lake Tahoe, Carmel by the Sea, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Juarez, New Orleans, Pascagoula, Mobile, Cookeville, Nashville, Athens, Des Moines, Trondheim, Røros, and Juneau are places where we shared our youth and many of our first times. When a theatrical revival of Hair hits Broadway, a 20-something describes his/her first road trip across the USA, someone visits the craps table for the first time, an Alaskan cruise becomes the topic of the evening, anything...
