Patricia Fitzsimmons Irish

Patricia Fitzsimmons Irish, 66, passed away unexpectedly in her home the morning of March 25, 2013. Pat was born in Jamaica, New York City but grew up in up-state New York in the town of Hudson. She attended St. Mary's Elementary School and graduated from Hudson High. Upon graduation from high school she studied to be a Practical Nurse at Grassland School of Nursing, outside of New York City. In 1969, she married her husband and moved to Virginia Beach, VA and continued her nursing career on and off for the next twenty-five years. Upon retiring from nursing, she became a full time home maker until her passing. She was loved by friends, family and community. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 43 years, Peter F. Irish, Sr.; her two sons, Peter F. Irish, Jr. from Estes, CO and Brian R. Irish from Virginia Beach, VA; her brother, James Fitzsimmons from Yorba Linda, CA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held at Chick's Restaurant, 2143 Vista Circle, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
