Not sure what to say?

My only regret from my time at Wake Forest is that I attended Casa Artom in Venice a year or two before Dean Johansson was there... I felt an affinity towards her as my father's colleague in the English Department, and I know she was a wonderful teacher and mentor to many Wake Forest graduates... I miss her.

Dean Johansson chose me to be part of the lucky group to spend a semester in Venice in Spring 1984. She assembled such a diverse, interesting and enthusiastic group of students. It was a memorable experience with a remarkable group in a magical place. I am forever grateful.

Thank you so much for your warm thoughts and memories. For those who would like to attend, her service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 2nd at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem.

We are so sorry to hear of Pat's passing. She certainly lived a loving, giving life. Bob and I always enjoyed seeing her at St. Anne's. May she rest in peace.

I remember Dean Johansson well from my undergraduate days at Wake Forest. Her kindness, wisdom, and encouragement to take on new challenges has served me well in education and in life. I am a better person because of her example. Prayers for her family in the days ahead.
