Patricia "Pat" Klein

I loved Pat and George Klein. I was a student of George’s at WMU. Pat and I became friends and hiked nearby trails and swam in Woods Lake. Pat was fierce and loyal and loved her family so much. I regret losing touch with Pat as work took me off to many places. Now retired and reading my WMU magazine I see her death notice. I’m heartbroken by this loss. Sending love to the kids, with love and gratitude,

My Dad and I met Pat and her daughter at the assisted living where he lived. She always spoke so wonderfully with us. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. Heaven has gained a special angel.

Pat was a friend who gave time and energy to the WMU faculty union. Her support was a model for all of us. she was keen to see injustice and persistent in seeing that justice was served. She never gave up or gave in to unfair compromise. I was honored to be a witness and beneficiary of a colleague so grounded, honest and supportive in the quest for fairness and justice.
