LAMP, Patricia Catherine, 83, of Chesterfield, departed this life on Thursday, June 30, 2011, after a brief struggle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph E. Lamp; daughter, Carol Jean Lamp Kendall; brother, Eugene Graham "Snuffy" Adams of Idaho Falls, Idaho; three grandchildren, Bridget Kendall Neace, Emily Christine Kendall and Justin Ryan Kendall; and one great-grandson, Nicholas Conner Neace. She was born in Stephens City, Virginia, and lived in Winchester where she worked at the Optical Center. She was an active and lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi in Winchester and was a devoted fan of VCU basketball. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Grace Lutheran Church, with The Reverend Richard Finck officiating. Interment will be private. A memorial service in Winchester, Va., will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 13028 Harrowgate Rd., Chester, Va. 23831.
