Patricia Foran McGuinness

I loved Ms. McGuinness. I was one of her many students who saw in her a truly transcendent soulful nurturer. She explained and taught without a trace of impatience and being a total literary devotee, I was greatly encouraged by her insights. She taught Chicago in American Literature, and her instructional helping hand fostered and furthered my literary ambitions. Ms. McGuinness was my favorite teacher of all time. She truly inspired me and made me feel special. I had her for Utopian Literature and English Lit senior year at Niles North. I had the true luck of seeing her at our 30th class reunion and had the opportunity to tell her how I felt about her. I'm so glad I did and I hope she took it in as she truly deserved my gratitude and admiration. A life well lived and very well appreciated.

When I think of Mrs. McGuinness I always smile and think how lucky I was to have known her and how many great memories were had with Mary, Margie and John.
