Patricia Meadows

My brothers and I grew up with Patricia and her family in Charleston, WV. We have many fond members of not only Patricia, but her brothers. We were shocked to hear of her passing. I, especially, because she was just sharing and smiling on our "Homie Charleston" monthly Zoom call in February with friends from Charleston. Dear Family of Patricia Meadows, I am so sorry to hear about her passing. She was a wonderful friend and Blessing to my mother Ethel Carr at Trinity Presbyterian Church. She checked on her and took her home on many occasions when my mother stopped driving. They shared good times at Trinity and in the community as well. I send heartfelt condolences to the family of Pat Meadows and to the legion of friends who mourn the loss of this wonderful woman who lived an exemplary life of love and service to God, family and community. I personally am bereft at the passing of my friend and colleague. It was my privilege to know and work for Pat as her assistant at NCCJ for 10 years from 2003 until she retired. I was honored and fortunate to work with Pat as a member of the Medical Social Services and Discharge Planning Dept at MVH for seven years. She was the consummate social worker - professional, compassionate, strong, ethical and she endlessly strove to move the social work profession forward. She was also fun and loving and a powerful presence no matter where she focused her energy. The doors of heaven are wide open for Pat.

I worked with Pat at Miami Valley Hospital for many years. She was a lovely lady.

I have many fond memories of my A.K.A. sister. We enjoyed being together at our West Va. State Homecoming this year. My sympathy and prayers are with the family at this time.
