Patricia Ann, "Patty Ann, Pat, Mom, Grandma, MaMa, Mimi," Meadows, grew her wings and flew to meet her "Sweet Charlie" in heaven on December 4th, 2004. She was born, February 8th, 1927, in Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Opal Willa Clinebell, Father, Samuel "Jack" Stewart, Step-mother, Lillian McGraw Stewart, brother, George Richard Stewart, and her best friend and life-long love of 58 years, Charles Edward Meadows, Sr. She is survived by one brother, Joe Stewart of GA and her adoring brood of 7 children; Charles Edward, Jr. and BeBe Meadows of Huntington, George and Shin Chang Meadows of Fredericksburg, VA, Ann and Ralph Hensley of Ashland, KY, Chan Vass of Huntington, Chris and Becky Meadows of Milton, Mary and Tommy Smirl of Huntington, and Michael Meadows of Huntington. Her 18 grandchildren are Charles Edward III and his wife Tamara, Christiaan, Mary Jill, Kathleen, Joseph, and Rob Meadows and Liz Wilhelm, Kai and Minh Poh, Sam and Katie Hensley, Kyle Vass, Zach and his wife Beth, Dane, Torie and Tessa Meadows, and Sydnee, Teylor and Rileigh Smirl. Her surviving great-grandchildren are Jed, Avery and Ainsley Meadows, Haiti, Elijah and Alana Meadows and Braiden Meadows. She is also survived by Polar, her sweet Siberian Husky dog, Marshall, the only cat she ever loved and Koa, "the brown dog". Words alone cannot begin to convey the tremendous amount of unconditional love that flowed from this tiny woman. She was a "stay at home Mom" who made a career of nurturing three generations of Meadows children. She was P.T.O. president, Soccer Mom, homeroom mother, and den mother too many times to count. She was cook, chauffeur, launderer, tutor, and the biggest fan any of her 7 children ever had. She was a "storybook Grandma" with a kitchen table always ready for feasting, long talks, playing paper dolls, and the best coffee ever. She also made the best chicken noodle soup that anyone who has tasted could attest to (although she despised the taste of chicken). She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. As a member of Our Lady Of Fatima Church, she spent much of her time working there as a volunteer. She was "girl Friday" in the school office for twenty years along side her sweet friend Rosemary Bronosky, and together they also ran the $1000.00 plus Sweet Shoppe. She was a strong, passionate, and intelligent woman who loved to sun and swim and make an annual pilgrimage to Myrtle Beach, SC. She will forever be remembered for her big blue eyes that spoke volumes and a singing voice that was beautiful, deep and rich. She had a wonderful sense of humor, played a wicked hand of Hearts, and loved the color red. We, her children, are humbled by her sacrifice and blessed to have had her as our Mother. We thank her for the last six months she gave to us, we know it was hard without Daddy and although our hearts are breaking, we rejoice at the thought of their reunion. Visitation is Wednesday, December 8th at Beard Mortuary from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral Mass will be said Thursday, December 9th, 11 AM at Our Lady of Fatima by Father Jim Sobus. Granddaughters will present the gifts, the grandsons will serve as pall bearers. Burial will be next to her beloved Charlie in Woodmere Memorial Park. Online register book @www.beardfuneralhome.com.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Chan and Kyle,

We are so sorry to hear of your Mother's/Grandmother's death. We know you'll miss her very much. Please accept our condolences on the loss of such a special woman.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My sympathies to you and your family.

Fond memories of our children growing up together, especially the "Turkey Bowl" game the boys had every Thanksgiving. Ohio River Road had many happy thoughts. Joandel/George Jackson

I have great childhood memories of Uncle Charlie and Aunt Pat. I too remember the "kitchen table." My childhood would have not been the same without them.
My sympathy to all of you.
Mickey

Eddie, Sorry about the loss of your Mom.
