Almost 50 yrs later, her memory remains as one of the best teachers I've ever had: intelligent, extremely knowledgeable in subject matter, droll sense of humor, a people person. I am happy to see she had a long retirement. I hope it was as fulfilling as was her teaching career. She touched many lives.

Pat was a very good customer of my parents at their garden center, The Windmill Farm. I loved talking with her about all types of plants and gardening. She especially loved her begonias. My parents, Don and Betty, and I have thought of her often over the years and we will miss her.
