Not sure what to say?

I think of you every day Mom. Sometimes I imagine you walking next to me on one side, and Dad on the other, when I'm in Forest Park. I will climb Mt. Hood with Lucas one day soon, just as we did. I love you. The world was a better place with you in it.

This morning, two plus years post your beautiful Patrica´s passing, I was randomly thinking of her. I was in her classes at Marylhurst and the fondest thoughts and memories came to mind. Also, I was honored to have my story published in Patricia´s book. Her affirmation of the story, and of me, left a positive and permanent mark on my soul. It´s been so many years and much has passed. But this morning she was there in my heart and thoughts...And just now I googled her to find this. My love and...

I have many wonderful memories of Patty, from when I was a child to when I took her class at Marylhurst. She was a gracious, loving person & a light who still shines brightly in the hearts of those lives she touched! My thoughts are with all her family, especially her children.

I only met Patricia late in her life when she resided at Tanner Spring (as did my own mom). Patty would often be singing along with the Friday afternoon socials and enjoying a little ice cream. She always had a smile for me and warned me to stay away from her daughter Dede who "is happily married". We laughed.........

I will always remember Patty's joyful laugh and radiant smile. My parents considered Patty and Dick some of their closest and most steadfast friends. An end of an era.

Patty was and IS an inspiration beginning with my dear friendship with her daughter Dede that started at the age of 13 and that continues to grow through the present. Patty took me on my first backpacking trip and she and I share a life-long and intense love of nature. She also instilled in me a sense of peace regarding the pressure often felt at young adulthood. I remember hiking with her when I was working at Mount Rainier and I was bemoaning how I just didn't know where I was headed next...

What a beautiful life Patty lived! Truly full of love and light, making a positive difference in many lives. A warm and kind woman. We will miss her.
