Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of knowing Pat for the past 4 years. It was great getting to know her. When Martie came to town she would tell me things that I never knew. She was a beautiful soul. I will miss that smile.

We always had so much fun singing for Tom in the summer programs held on the top of Gilmore´s parking ramp. We sometimes were slightly out of control.....HI to Martie!

Having grown up in the same neighborhood as Patricia, I attended Hillcrest Elementary and South Junior High School one year ahead of Patricia. Although our families knew each other, I was not a close friend of Patricia or her sister Martie. When we visited her family, Patricia´s parents always seemed the star attractions. At that time, Patricia´s mother, Alice, was a performing artist. And Patricia´s father, C.H., was an irresistible center of attention - whether wearing fake teeth and...

CH, Alice, Marty and Patsy were prominent figures in my childhood on Waite Avenue (along with the Trubey's and the Allen's). We had so much fun - from dress up parties and performing plays in the upstairs garage loft to skating parties on their side yard rink, to CH's goofus dust and Alice's piano music .... such great times. I'm sorry that I lost touch with her over the years.

I miss Pat´s smile and her sense of humor. I was blessed to be allowed to be a part of her life.

Marty, thank you for sharing this beautiful obituary to my husband and myself. You and I met by chance and I have learned to love and appreciate you and your family. Sending all my thoughts and prayers with gratitude. What an amazing person Pat was and a life well lived. Bless you.

When Pat returned to Kalamazoo, her parents had moved to a condo across from my apartment and met her at a combined breakfast event between the two developments. After some time she moved into an apartment across from me and we became friends. Her best companion was her frisky black cat. I was also a member at First Presbyterian at that time. When I moved away to South Carolina we kept in touch for a while but eventually lost contact. She was such a lovely friend.

Patsy, as I knew her in high school, was a revered friend, gracious and self-effacing. She was insightful, harbored an underlying passion for music, with witty compassion and a sense of humor that imbued everything she expressed. I so enjoyed her quiet and peaceful nature that only hinted at the grand duchess underneath.

Thanks for your kindness to me as an exchange student from Sweden to the class of 67 at Loy Norrix. RIP!
