Patricia M. O’Hara, 62, of Pawtucket, passed away, June 23, 2020 after a 4-month battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Michael O’Hara. They were happily married for 40 years. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Grady) Cunha. Patti devoted her life to caring for children of relatives, friends, neighbors, and strangers. She truly loved her job and the children loved her. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Michael O’Hara Jr., Sean O’Hara, Megan O’Hara Goncalves, and Shannon O’Hara, her brothers, Captain James Cunha USN (Ret.), William Cunha, and Edward Cunha Jr., her sisters, Lynn Peltier, Nancy Blythe, and Anne Shmase. She also leaves nine grandchildren, Sean, Jeremy, Ryleigh, Shane, Dylan, Emma, Bailey, Jake, and Jaxon. She was also the sister of the late Stephen Cunha. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours from 4-8 PM, Monday, June 29th in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Due to the current restrictions, guests will be allowed into the funeral home as space allows, masks and social distancing are required. A Mass of Christian Burial will be video live streamed, Tuesday June 30th, at 10 AM, right here on Patti's obituary page.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society, in memory of Patti, would be appreciated.

Not sure what to say?

Patty will live in my memory as the beautiful, smiling and friendly older sister of my childhood friend, Anne. She was always a warm and funny presence at the pool or at family gatherings where only her family outmatched ours for size! I always picture her smiling in the sunshine and will remember her that way. My deepest condolences to her family. May all your most wonderful memories of Patty help ease your suffering in this challenging time. I don't know what else I can say, but know that...

Mike and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Patti's passing. May God seat her at his right hand now that her suffering is over. God Bless. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Patti, it has been at least 38 years (Amica) since I've seen you, but I have never forgotten you... Rest in Peace.

My condolences to Mike and the entire family. My thoughts are with you all.
