Patricia A. Pluto, age 82 of Hobart passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born on December 22, 1938. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. She retired from Inland Steel and NIPSCO where she worked as a clerk and customer service representative. She loved playing BINGO and watching Hallmark TV or the gameshow network. She enjoyed good home-cooked Polish food and every form of dance. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and cherished the Yahtzee family marathons on Holidays.   


She is survived by her son, Donald Pluto, Jr.; daughters, Victoria Estanovich, Kathleen Pluto, Cynthia (Steven) Stahl; grandchildren, Amie (Todd) Krueger, Carissa (Austin Pappas) Stahl, Caylee (Darrell) Hoover; great grandchildren, Christian and DeLanie Krueger, Mieszko Pappas, Asher Hoover and Baby Girl on the way.


She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Maksymczak; mother and stepfather, Anna and Stanley Szafran; and brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Marge Mace. Memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital at 225 E. Chicago Ave. Chicago, IL 60611.


A Memorial Mass for Patricia will take place at a later date at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 3530 Illinois Street, Hobart, IN 46342.
