Byles Memorial Home - New London Obituary

Ramsey, Patricia A., 83, formally from Gales Ferry, died February 20, 2024, at Bayview Healthcare in Waterford. Patricia was born October 25, 1940, in Hershey, Pennsylvania to H. Rosco Bomgardner and Ida (Zimmerman) Bomgardner.

Patricia worked at Hershey Chocolate Factory for several years.  Later she was trained as a medical assistant and worked in private practices locally. She was also a dental receptionist and most recently retired after 15 years at Community Health Center as a medical records clerk.  In her free time, she enjoyed music and dancing, especially the songs of Motown.  She had a special place in her heart for animals.  She loved her dogs and cats, and they brought her much joy.

Pat is survived by her niece Darlene McCollam. She is also survived by two special friends.  Together they were known as the “Three P’s”, Pat, Pamela and Patty. A special thank you to Patty for all your care and for all the scenic drives that always ended up with lunch out or chocolate ice cream.

She was preceded in death by her sister Marion Blouch.

Pat will be going home to Pennsylvania.  Services are private.

Donations may be made in Pat’s memory to Connecticut Humane Society, 169 Old Colchester Road, Quaker Hill, CT 06375.

Not sure what to say?

I worked with Pat at CHC, first in 1999, for 5 months, when I was a temporary, contracted employee, and then in again in 2009, when I returned as a regular employee. I was pleased to see that “Miss Pat”; as we called her, was still there, and she remembered me! She was so gracious to help me get acclimated to the job, and she was the one to go to with whatever questions I had. I am sorry to hear of her passing. May she be at peace.
I offer my condolences to her family and friends. God...

I worked with Pat at CHC years ago. She was always so sweet. Thinking of her family and friends at this time. May she rest in peace
