JACKSON'S BURKS-WALKER-TIPPIT Obituary

Patricia Adair Rose passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 in Tyler. She was born October 17, 1926 in Oakland, Ca to Frank and Ethel Bohler. Pat was a mother, a granny, a great granny and a great great granny who enjoyed her family, particularly her grandkids. She was a voracious reader and was always wanting to trade books with family members. Ms. Rose had a keen intellect who was fiercely independent with a spunky sense of humor. She had a gentle nature and was quick to laugh and display a warm smile. She loved to email people all around the world and if you weren’t careful, she could easily fill your mail box with “stuff”. Pat loved to collect any item associated with pigs and was always trying to give them away, sometimes without much success. One of her last requests was to give her favorite pink fluffy pig to her great great granddaughter, Brooklyn Joy. She will be missed dearly, but we celebrate a life lived well. She is survived by four children, Toby Brown of Conroe, Helyn Morriss of Tyler, Patsy Lewis of Frankston and Pennie Lee of Needville; eleven grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. We love you and will miss you! Graveside service will be10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Brian Walker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Tx 75701.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your lost.

Patsy you are in my prayers. I have such fond memories of your mom. She was so wonderful to open her doors and let me share your home when I was waiting to move to Oklahoma. She sounds like her life was full with so many wonderful grand kids and great and great great grand kids. It sounds like her heart was always full of love. my sympathy and prayers are with you.

Our prayer are with you and your family.

She was such a wonderful artist. I treasure my painting I have from her. I wish I had got to spend more time with her. I know she will paint the heavens beautiful colors.

Patsy & Kevin,
We are praying for you and your family as you celebrate the life of your mom. We love you guys.

Thank you for being such a special part of my childhood!! I remember when you worked for O'Neal's ice cream down on Glenwood and we used to go in there and get ice cream. So many memories of you guys living behind us there on Glenwood when we lived on West Fifth. Taking us to Pizza Hut on Beckham when it used to be there next to Whataburger!! And when you managed the Barclay Apartments there on Broadway and I used to spend the whole weekend there with you and Patsy and we'd swim and just hang...

She was a unique person, and a great Auntie. And for a while, a funny email pal always trying to give me her books and her pig collection.
Love to you all,
Marilyn Boyd McCurley
