Patricia Ann Scheuing

Patricia Ann Scheuing, 76, of Pine City, Minn., formerly of Hoyt Lakes died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 in the Golden Living Center in Rush City, Minn., following a brief battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 3, 1932 in Eveleth, Minn., to John and Jenny (Lushine) Chappel. Pat was a graduate of Eveleth High School and later attended the Minnesota School of Business. She married Frank Scheuring on Jan. 21, 1955. Pat worked in the purchasing department at Reserve Mining in Silver Bay prior to being employed at Mesabi East high School in Aurora. She worked as a secretary from 1975 until 1992. Frank and Pat have been residents of Pine City since 1995. Pat was an avid golfer who especially enjoyed spending time at the Grand Casino in Hinckley. Pat was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, AARP and the United Protestant Church of Silver Bay. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jenny in 1976; and her father, John in 1979. Survivors include her husband, Frank; children, Sandy (Byron) Carlile of Eau Claire, Wis., Janet (Jim Forneris) Scheuring of Duluth and Steve (Janel) Scheuring of Lakeland; grandchildren, Jasmine Scheuring, Stephen and Khrystine Carlile. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS:5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 in Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Forest Hill Cemetery columbarium in Aurora, Minn.
