Mrs. Hurd was my 3rd grade teacher at Horace Mann during the 1983-84 school year. I learned so much on her classroom and quickly developed a love for reading. I still vividly remember her reading the book about a boy named Kirby who had a special chemistry set. And, Mrs. Hurd literally changed by life. Back then, my family moved alot to different towns where I enrolled in a new school every year. I really liked Springfield and Horace Mann but was told we were moving again to a new town up...

I will start out by saying, This is my Favorite teacher since my 3rd grade, I must say she started me with being an Avid reader, where now i want to write books. Her and My Mother graduation Springfield High co/57. I had her 3rd & 4th grade. Over the years she found her kid on Facebook, living in SC. My Mom passed 2015. She was there for me and my Sister like a Favorite. Mrs Patricia Hurd Spalla, JOB WELL DONE
