Pat and Spence were great friends. I remember them while growing up in the 1950's in Salem, Oregon. After moving to Minnesota in 1959, we were able to visit them in Salem in 1966 and in Long Beach, Ca. in the 1970's. They were great people.

Like each of you your mother wil be missed. Having known them for over 50 years your parents were always special to me. Because your folks and especially your dad believed in me I had a wonderful career with the Postal Service and ultimately retired as Postmaster of Beaverton in 1980.
