Not sure what to say?

We know Pat is missed by family and friends but also in the larger world of Audiology/Hearing Aids. Her research endeavors & dedication advanced the field. What a smart women, so capable & forward thinking. Crossing paths as a fellow student @ the University of Iowa was a pleasure & privilege.

Sympathy to you & the kids through this hard time. Remembering shared times of life as graduate students at U of Ia. & post graduate times shared at your home with wonderful Italian homemade pasta meals. Pat contributed so much to the field how lucky that her intellectual interests benefitted so many.

To Michael and family, I am so saddened to hear of Pat's passing. Words cannot express how impactful and important Pat was to our field, and her contributions to helping children with hearing loss will forever endure. I treasured Pat as a mentor, colleague, and friend, and she inspired me to follow her lead to reach for the highest potential as a clinician scientist. I will forever be grateful to know Pat. You are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Chris Runge

My sympathies to my friend and colleague Mike Gorga and his children for the loss of my friend and colleague Pat Stelmachowitz. Pat was an outstanding intellect in our field, with many accomplishments. She will be missed.

Michael...it was an honor to help take care of Pat. She was always so happy! She is greatly missed!

Pat and I worked together at UNMC in the early 1970's, fresh out of graduate school. We honed our skills as new audiologists, cheering each other on and laughing at our inexperience. She, of course, wanted to head down the research path, taking me with her. But, she never stopped, leading her to internationally recognized status. I have never worked with anyone so intelligent, but counter-balanced with a quick wit and refreshing naivete. Great memories. My sympathies to you, Michael,...

Dear Michael, Chris, Katie and Ally, I send my deepest sympathy to you all. Pat was many wonderful things to us all and we were all blessed to have had her in our lives. I will be holding you all in my heart.

Michael and Family - I was deeply saddened to learn the news of Pat's passing. We worked together in the late 1970's at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Pat was brilliant, funny, and full of tireless energy. I learned from her and was inspired by her. She will be missed by all who knew her. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.

Michael & Family--I was so sorry to hear of Pat's death. My prayers and condolences go out to all of you.
