Patricia Stengle

Patty’s mother and my mother were sisters, so I’ve known her my whole life. We can’t choose our relatives but given the chance I would have chosen her as my cousin anyway. I was always close to Patty and her sisters. She was a genuine person with so much love in her heart. She and Bill had a wonderful marriage, the kind everyone wants. She was so loved by everyone whose life she touched. Such a terrible loss. My heartfelt sympathy for Bill and their children.

Mrs Stengle was my teacher at St John Vianney in Colonia. She was my absolute favorite. My mother died when I was 8 years old and my first birthday after her death, Mrs Stengle baked cupcakes for me to give to my classmates because she just knew there was no one to bake for me. I’ve never forgotten that feeling. I remember our class being told about her cancer diagnosis. I’m so happy she had many more happy years after that. My sympathies ♥
