Patricia Jane Stroud, 83, went home to her Lord and Saviour on January 5,2026 in Wichita Falls.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026 in the Chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home with Chaplain Rusty Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Holliday Cemetery.
She was born to Bernard and Goldie Moore in Zanesville, Ohio on October 15, 1942. She was the fourth of ten children. Patricia married Clifford Stroud in 1962 while he was serving in the Navy. They moved to Texas and raised a family. Even though she left Ohio over sixty years ago, she always loved Ohio State sports. Football was her favorite.
She was the proud mother of three daughters, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Patricia loved to cook and bake. She often created her own incredible recipes in the moment, so they were not always able to be shared or recreated. Baking desserts for the holidays was one of her favorites and one of her best feats. She enjoyed everyone eating her creations and would even take requests- actually requests from her grandchildren were accepted anytime- "Meemaw, just put some gravy on it!" She would do anything to make her family enjoy the holidays or anytime she could.
She and Cliff were a devoted couple. Even that horrible disease didn't keep her from announcing "there's my husband!" when he entered "T-Triple C"....
Patricia is survived by her husband of 63 years Clifford. Their daughters: Tina Guess, Karla Borton and husband Andy, and Lisa Stroud. Their grandchildren: Bradley Borton and wife Jessica, Bryan Flaherty and wife Kinsey, Kristen Luce and wife Kasside, and Laura Lindemann and husband Adam. She loved being Meemaw to 6 great-grandchildren.
