Pat - I didn't see you very often but when I did I really enjoyed being with you and talking to you. I know you're up in heaven looking down at us all and laughing because we're making such a fuss. I love you and miss you already and am keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Your mother became such a good friend to me over the past several years. We shared so many Blackwell family stories and some really good chats. I will truly miss our regular communication via email. She dearly loved her sons and extended family and kept me current on their lives. My deepest sympathy to all the family.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for mom’s life and the many ways she has and continues to touch our lives. It was wonderful that she went to church with me, made loving friends there, and renewed a passion for you. Hold her in your loving arms. Reassure her that you will be watching over the family and that we will not only be ok, but we will make her proud. Amen.
Mommy, I love you and miss you terribly. The world will never ever be the same without you.
