One of the greatest coaches I have known. She taught me a lot about coaching. I knew her from the time I was a kid and taught with her at Hamilton High.

To the family of Ms. Sword my prayers are with you. I played ball for Ms. Sword from 1983 -1985 she was a wonderful coach and teacher, I hope she and Ms. Kraft are in heaven playing ball like they did when they were in their teens. God Bless!
She was truly the best girls basketball coach that HHS has ever had and noone will ever be able to fill her shoes.

Pat Sword taught girls more than just how to win on the court, but also how to win at life. We had many discussions on giving 110% effort, about confidence, and about faith. I am thankful to have had a coach who impacted me, not for just the 3 years at Taft High, but for a lifetime.
"Midget" - her favorite nickname for me (Andrea Walters Moorehead - part of the undefeated, dominating basketball teams of the early '70s)

My prayers go out to Pat's family and friends. I went to Taft in the late 70's and remember Pat as a dedicated teacher and coach. God rest her soul.
