I worked in the same unit as Pat for over 10 years, at the U.S. Department of Labor. She was a great co-worker - professional, compassionate, thorough. I liked and respected her and was deeply saddened to hear of her death. I learned a great deal about her at the beautiful uplifting service yesterday. The love that was showered on her was a reflection of who she was.

Pat was my first supervisor after high school. She went the extra mile to help me learn the new job. She stayed late with me and helped me more than once. She never gave up on me. I know she did a lot of praying for me. She will always be that special person who fed into my life. I will always be grateful for what she has done.

Pat was my old supervisor at Ohio Bell/SBC/Ameritech Back in the late 70s 1980s I remember her as a God-fearing woman of dignity and integrity. I witnessed Pat as always having the respect of her workers and peers I was proud of her managerial skills during a time when it wasn't common for Women especially African-American women to be in management!
