Patricia Kay (Terry) Urchike, 79, of Chandler passed away May 18, 2021.


She was born in Flint, MI on August 22, 1941 to parents Cecil and Mary (Kurys) Terry.  She graduated from Beecher High School and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Central Michigan University; and a master’s degree in elementary education from Arizona State University.  She married Robert Lee Urchike on August 17, 1963.


Patricia worked as a teacher in Beecher School District in MI and Kyrene School District in AZ for over 30+ years.  She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was someone you could go to for advice, a blessing of wisdom and guidance, and above all, constant support and love. She will truly be missed from everyone, she touched the lives of so many, impacting them in such a positive and powerful way. 


Patricia is survived by her husband Robert Urchike, her siblings David (Dawn) Terry and Kathy (James) Smithwick, her daughters Pam Neumann and Lori Urchike, her grandchildren Brent (Jamie) Urchike, Kayla (Carlos) Malinski, Anna Neumann, Julia Neumann, her great-grandchildren Blake Urchike, Cayden Urchike, Riley Malinski.


A visitation will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5pm – 7pm at Tempe Mortuary.  The funeral mass will be held Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10am at Resurrection Catholic Church.


In lieu of flowers donate to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
