Back in the day I knew her as Mrs. Vecchio, mom of Sally and Kathy, and looking back she was one of the most influential people (with Mr. Vecchio) who changed the direction of my life at a young age. If there was one word I would describe her as was elegant. I admired her poise and charm as a young person looking up to an adult. I had the honor see her one last time a few years back in Lakewood and it was a memory I shall forever cherish. Your mom, grandma, friend made a difference to me....

My sincere condolences to her family. I met Pat when we were both getting our MSN at the University of Akron. What a fire cracker she was. She always had stories and made me laugh when we car pooled together to Akron. I learned a lot about Pat and most of all her love for her children.

Pat Vecchio was one of the most important persons in my life. We had been friends for over fifty years. I knew her and Ross, her husband, when they were the young parents of Sally and Kathy, community activists, and attentive business persons. They played a key role in my election as Mayor of Cleveland. Pat had an incisive intelligence which made her a key adviser.
