Not sure what to say?

I knew her as grandmother to Parker. I am a retired teacher from Fairbanks. She was such a blessing in my classroom. She volunteered making cookies during holidays with Parker and the rest of the class. She had such a loving and joyful spirit. The world was a better place because of her and 'is' a better place because of the seeds she planted. Thank you!!!

I was so sorry to hear of Jinx's passing. I knew her while attending Monroe High School. She was a special person and will be missed by all who knew her.

To the whole Whitaker Family,
My heart goes out to you all. She was a wonderful person. I have several pieces of art I got from her over the years and when I look at them I always think of her first. She is definitely one Gods best art work. Your all in our prayers.

So many years ago, I was one of the young artists Jinx had welcomed into New Horizons as extended family. I am forever grateful to her on several levels. The last season Jinx was in Fairbanks, she'd written a complimentary message on a post-it asking the gallery owner to pass on to me. What a wonderful person and amazing soul she was. I stand among so many in saying that I am missing her greatly. I feel so honored to have been one of the fortunate ones to have known this wonderful person. I...

It was so sad to read about Jinx. My condolences to her family and friends. What a kind, generous, calm and level-headed person she was. Although I haven't seen her in years, I often think of her good work and spirit. I will miss her being in the world. With gratitude to have know her, Susheila

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I watched the "Paint Pot" become "New Horizons Gallery" during my early years in Fairbanks and valued both as local businesses in our community. I am one of the artists that Jinx mentored over the years and I will always appreciate the support and opportunities she provided me as I worked and raised my family. Our Fairbanks community was so blessed by her passions, interests and commitment to making it a better place for everyone to live in. My condolences go out to her family and everyone...

So very sorry for the loss of Jinx. With her passing we are losing a precious part of her family, friends, and the community. She shared her
knowledge with me over the years from the first time I met her in 1967 when I first moved to Fairbanks. She will be greatly missed.

Dear Jim and family,
Jinx was a warm and talented person who brightened the spaces we shared. I enjoyed her hospitality, her work as an art dealer (I have a special object because of her) and her gifts to our dear Fairbanks community. Thank you, Jinx——
