Not sure what to say?

On the anniversary of her passing, I remember Pat fondly. I was lucky to work with her as a technical director and designer at the beginning of my career in educational theater at St Albans and NCS. Because of her mentoring I was able to move into the directors position when I left St Albans for a boarding school in CT. I am honored to have been the Chair of the Coordinate Theater Department at STA and NCS for the last twelve years. After 25 years on the close and 34 years in educational...

Pat sounds like she was a remarkable woman. I never met her, but I am a friend of her daughter, Robin, who is herself a remarkable person. My thoughts and good wishes are with the entire Witt family. I know this is not an easy time. My hope is that you will all find some comfort in all of the remembrances posted in this guest book. Sending love to you, Robin.

Talented. Perceptive. Sharp-witted. Genuine. Nurturing. That mischievous sparkle in her eye and her sense of humor were a true delight to experience. She was one of kind in so many ways: an exceptional teacher, a fabulous actor and director, and a wonderful friend. Her lessons on acting and life are still serving me well. She changed my life for the better and I will be forever thankful to have known her. She is loved and will be deeply missed.

I am devastated to learn of Mrs. Witt's death. She was an inspiration to me while I was in high school and she made me want to improve and try my best. Pat was a light in the often dark world of high school. I just loved her and hope Robin and her siblings know how much their mom will be missed by so many. Much love, Dana

I met Pat during one of our Shakespeare & Company summers - and she was a friend, a brilliant actress, a wonderful mother. I loved her wit and humor, and shall miss her. Sending much love to her children, especially Robin - whom I knew at NCS - and to Howard, as well.

Pat was a wonderful theater teacher and director, embracing the talented and the just plain curious while at NCS/STA. She made room for everyone to play a part and provided an inclusive, comforting place to learn for us all. She was also hilarious. Thank you for those memories.

She was an inspiring teacher to me.
Rest in Peace!

She had a sharp mind and fierce sense of humor. Theater was a huge part of my high school experience and, by extension, so was she. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from Ms. Witt. She taught me the power of presence.

Pat was a huge influence to me during my years at NCS. I think she was the first teacher I met at NCS in 8th grade and was a mentor every year until graduation. Our relationship evolved to encompass teacher, director and friend. To this day I fondly remember Pat - her humour, her kindness, her grounded perspective and her dedication to her craft and her students.
