Not sure what to say?

To the Ahern family:
Our deepest sympathy is expressed to you. Patrick meant so much to us since he was principal of Lindblom High School and my father, Howard Pilditch taught woodworking there for many years. We enjoyed your attendance at the retired principal's group that meets in Willow Springs and for the special reunion in the newly remodeled Lindblom a few years ago. We know you are in a better place and our lives have been greatly enriched for having know you.

My condolences to the Ahern family. Dr. Ahern was my principal in elementary school and in high school, at Fernwood Elementary and at Lindblom.

To the Ahern family thanks for sharing your love one with the students of Lindblom Technical High School. Dr. Ahern was a wonderful principal and made a positive impact in my life. His leadership and dedication made Lindblom the #1 high school in the city. Rest in peace Dr. Ahern. You will live on in our hearts forever.

Junene D. Norman Class of 1979.

To the Family of Dr. Ahern,
I remember Dr. Ahern from summer school at Fernwood as well as from my years at Lindblom. He was a kind, gentle person. My prayers are with your entire family.

To The Family of Dr. Patrick F. Ahern;
Please accept my condolences. Dr. Ahern served as my principal at Lindblom Technical H.S. from 1981 to 1983. He was the kind of man who understood and connected with the younger generation. It was because of his leadership and connectivity with staff and students that most of my classmates remember him fondly, to this day. After Dr. Ahern left Lindblom, it was never the same.

Dr. Ahern was the principal at Fernwood when I entered kindergarten and principal of Lindblom when I graduated (Class of 1973). When I think of him I remember his dignity, his compassion and his wonderful sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with the Ahern family.

To the Ahern Family;

Our experiences at Linblom for many students clearly were the quantum leap that academically prepared us for life. The leadership of Dr. Ahern made a tremendous difference. The Lindblom faculty taught us well indeed. Dr. Ahern was a very talented, skilled principal extremely efficient that got the most out of his carefully selected staff for our benefit. Thank God for Patrick Ahern his endless contributions of time and effort that have made a positive...

Dear Ahern Family,

You have my deepest sympathy and prayers. In my thirty-four years with the CPS, Doc Ahern was the kindest, fairest, most caring principal I ever met. I only got the chance to work for him at Lindblom from 1981-1983, but he made them two great years! A true gentleman-I shall miss you, Patrick.

Norm Rick-Retired Math Teacher-CPS

My deepest Sympathy is extended to you, the family, of one of the most inspiring educators I've ever known. "Doc" has touched and helped mold the lives of thousands of students and will forever remain in the hearts of the Lindblom family. May God comfort and bless you all.
