Not sure what to say?

.Miss you Patrick and all the good times we shared. Rest in peace my friend. RON WILKINSON

Many times at the end of the day after working on Pat´s house we would pull out a bottle of rum and wine and order a pizza. Pat loved anchovies. I didn´t !! We would order a half and half pizza with the understanding his anchovies could not touch my half!! Amazing how you miss those silly little things with a friend.

Miss you Patrick. What great times we had together. Rest in Peace.

Pat was a steady positive force for Springfield, IL, and more recently a valued guest lecturer in our Media classes at Loyola U. Chicago. Condolences to his family and friends.

I had just moved to Springfield and was at the Ground Round restaurant where I met Pat for the first time. He asked me what I did for a living and I told him construction. He had a roof problem and I was able to fix it. From that point on we became good friends as he helped my business grow. After Pat moved to Chicago I was able to make some weekend trips to the city where we had many adventures. So Thank You Pat for friendship all you did for me. I will miss you.

Pat was an outstanding Journalist and Publisher but most of all he was a genuinely kind and giving person. He was a terrific boss and friend. God bless you, Pat.

Oh how I will miss one of my best friends. Patrick and I worked at Boy Scout Camp Warren Levis in Godfrey, Il for many years. We had so many great times together and I am going to miss him dearly. God Speed Pat and May God Bless you.

I was very privileged to be able to work for (and with) Pat during my time as a sportswriter at The State Journal-Register. He had a special quality, made you realize you were working at a great newspaper. I remember one time he had a get-together for just the sports staff at his home ... that made us feel special. Thanks Pat for enriching the experiences for me and all of my colleagues in the big building at Ninth and Capitol!

Pat, that's what we call him at the restaurant it was one of a kind. Will miss you.
